Our lawn care fertilization and weed control program is done in 7 steps.
Each application is spread evenly throughout the growing season and will ensure your lawn gets a steady supply of nutrients, as well as fends off all weeds.
Our lawn care fertilization features liquid Green County Fertilizer, a fertilizer that has a wealth of macro and micronutrients and is human, pet, and environmentally friendly.
Our carefully timed plan is as thorough as it is effective.
In early March,
right at winter’s end, is the perfect time to start with an application of liquid fertilizer full of iron and micronutrients. This early nourishment gives it a jump start on growing, making it naturally more weed resistant. A pre-emergent crabgrass weed control product is also laid down to prevent these early growing weeds from gaining ground.
In later spring,
another round of liquid lawn care fertilization will be applied, as well as another round or pre-emergent and a weed control product that combats a variety of invaders that start to sprout as the weather becomes warmer, including dandelions, clover and other broadleaf weeds.
As summer approaches,
it is important to keep the lawn nourished to protect it against the stress of the hotter temperatures. A third round of liquid fertilizers will be fed to the grass. Additionally we start to spot treat for any grassy weeds that may pop up including crab grass and nutsedge. This is also the time that we apply our optional grub control to protect your lawn from their devastating affects.
By middle to late summer,
we will continue to help the lawn through the hot humid weather by applying a summer formulated liquid fertilizer that will feed the lawn and continue to promote a green color and healthy growth even with the severe temperatures while at the same time not burn it. Additionally, we will spot treating for weeds including dandelion, clover, crab grass nutsedge and others. This is also the time we start applying our optional liquid de-thatching product to reduce the thatch layer and allow your lawn to breath better through the hot and humid summer.
In early fall,
we apply another round of liquid lawn care fertilization. This is vitally important because your turf is stressed coming out of the summer heat. Your lawn needs the vital nutrients supplied to provide the energy required to begin its fall recovery once the cooler temperatures arrive. It is at this time that we offer both our liquid aeration and seeding options. The importance of aeration cannot be overstated. Relieving soil compaction is absolutely essential for nutrients and water to continue to effectively penetrate the soil and get to the roots and our liquid aeration product is the absolute best way to do that. We also offer traditional overseeing as well as power seeding which is a far superior method of injecting new seed into your lawn.
When fall comes,
the last application of liquid fertilizer will be laid down to benefit your grass as it continues to recover from summer. As the cooler temperatures are the prime time for growth, this application will give your lawn a deep green color and a thick, lush lawn for fall. We will also apply a weed control product to eliminate any broadleaf weeds that may have begun to sprout including dandelions, clover, and others.
Winterizer application of fertilizer
As we move towards winter and the grass no longer needs to be mowed we apply a generous amount of fertilizer to your turf. This is one of the most important things you can do for your lawn. Just because the top has gone into dormancy does not mean the bottom has. Your turf’s roots are hard at work storing up energy for the next season. When you see that lawn in early spring that just pops with dark green color, it is because it was winterized properly. That’s exactly what we will do for you.

Four Seasons Landscape Management lives up to its name in lawn care.
Your grass will be protected year-round, being given the nutrients and pest control treatments it needs to ensure its health in both growth and dormant cycles. For more information, give us a call or visit our contact page.
