Goshen’s Park Scene is A Sight to See

Of the numerous parks and outdoor sanctuaries that Goshen area has to offer, these two stand out and have made an impact on the community in more ways than one. Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve is a non-profit public charity established in 1975 through the legacy of Virginia Creasey Mahan and Howard Mahan. The Nature Preserve is a 170-acre family-friendly destination. They host community events, school field trips, athletic practices and races, and fun programs. In addition, there are hiking trails, a nature center, a woodland garden, and a playground on-site for activities for every age.

Another crowd favorite park is Harmony Park, which is connected to Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve we mentioned above. The park is located off of Old Harmony Landing Road, and can also be accessed by walking through the preserve. Some of the park’s amenities along with the large and small playgrounds that make it a perfect option for families include:

• Gazebo in the center of playground and swings
• Water fountain
• Picnic tables.
